Obama's Ads Seen as Negative but Effective
Pundits and political commentary of the 2012 presidential election season seem to highlight the idea that this the most divisive election in history. To get a sense of this sentiment, we looked at how people are perceiving the candidates approach to their campaign's based on the candidate's advertisements. While a third of online opinion criticize Obama's ads as negative, 70% say his ads are good or effective and support the way he is attacking Romney's work at Bain Capital and Ryan's proposed medicare plan.
For Romney, about 40% of online opinions criticize Romney's ads as false, while a third say that they like his positive ads. Another third say they're glad the Romney campaign fact checked a negative Obama attack ad linking Romney and his work at Bain to the death of a man's wife from cancer.
